Carine Brini is Haitian descent and was born in Guadalupe Isle. Her family migrated to Miami when she was 1 year old. Carine graduated from Miami Edison Senior High. She attended Miami-Dade Community College and then transferred to Barry University. In 2007, she received a Bachelor Degree in Health Services Administration. Carine began working as a Patient Care Technician at Hospice Care of Miami Dade County. Ms. Brini was employed at various hospitals as a technician. In 2006, she began working with the University of Miami as a Research Assistant V for a study called Positive Survivors’ where she gained experience working with HIV/AIDS clients. Her responsibilities included HIV education, community outreach and conducting presentations.
Carine is a proud mother of five and is currently pursuing a master degree at Barry University in science. She was given an opportunity to join another family, the Jay Weiss Center at U.M. serving as a Community Health Promoter, to help spread HIV/AIDS education and how people that are infected with HIV/AIDS have not been forgotten. Carine is excited to help, educate, and motivate the community. |
